 What Joystick Do You Recommend?
I have been using a mouse for nearly three years, and want to spring for a joystick. A friend gave me one, but only Windows drivers are available. Which brands and/or models of joystick currently available would you recommend? Advice much appreciated!

Re: What Joystick Do You Recommend?
I'm sure it's not the best stick out there, but for the price I've found the Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D Pro to be a good basic stick. I had an older Wingman Extreme in the OS9 days and now have the 3D Pro version (silver and black, 12-button, throttle, twist rudder). Personally the twist rudder is just a bit flaky, sometimes jerking full left or right, but it's better than no rudder control at all. If you have the money I'd spring for some real rudder pedals.

Saitek Cyborg as well (I use the Evo model) or a Thrustmaster ; you should be able to find cheap 2nd hand ones. Look for a model with a 'Hat' switch. Cheers! R.

logitech extreme 3d pro. I lost mine in the last move, but my wife went around my back and bought another off amazon. Less than $30 and they usually last a long time. The other one I bought in 2006 and I would still be using it if it wasn't in some box along with some of my socks.

Man! Quite a wife you’ve got there… You guys seem to be loosing your stick all the time, as if someone was hiding it away once in a while.
